Kyle went to Sikeston this weekend and left me with a ridiculous amount of work to do around the house. (His grandma was/is very ill, so it was excusable). Saturday I helped Todd and Angie paint their super cute new house, and while I was there, Megan told me about this daylily farm about 30 miles from Columbia.
Since a lot of the stuff that needs to be done around the house is yard-related, I figured I should go to the daylily farm so I could have plants for the yard. Plus, I can't really see Kyle wanting to go and look at a bunch of flowers, so it was a great time to go since he was out of town. So, on Sunday morning I drove through some country towns to the beautiful Lilywood Farms. They had acres of all kinds of varieties of daylilies. There were so many, it was actually extremely overwhelming (though gorgeous). After a couple of hours walking through rows and rows of flowers, I loaded up the car with plants and made my way back home!

I saw this classy sign on the side of the road in Fayette:

Then I went and planted all my new daylilies. Pictures will be posted whenever the backyard is finished!

I'm trying to talk MH into letting me order some daylillies to be shipped out to Nevada from that farm. I don't know how I lived in Missouri all those years and didn't know it existed. I moved the daylillies I have now from my dad's house in MO.
