Quick update:
Penny left us to go to foster care in Illinois. She has already had her first patella surgery (which was quite successful), and she'll have her second in about a month. The foster family loves her, and their son may be adopting her after her second surgery.
Walter snagged a ride with the same guy who took Keko to Pittsburgh, and he's now in a foster home in New Jersey for Japanese Chin rescue.
Keko is doing fabulously in her new home, which makes me extra happy.
We overnighted a couple of Cavaliers this week, making me further realize what a sucker Kyle is for dogs (he fell in love with one of them immediately, then didn't bat an eye when he had to clean up his shit the next morning). I love that man.
We're foster free for the first time in roughly 5 months. It's weird. But kind of nice. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
