Our Saturday

This morning I went to CMHS to help with grooming. I ended up spending 3 hours grooming just half of a Great Pyrenees who came to the shelter from a hoarder. His name is Jobie, and he was really stinkin' cute beneath all that nastiness. Alas, I didn't take pictures, but I'll post his petfinder page when it's up.

Then, it was off to take pictures of Keko for Petfinder and Rocco for the 2009 CMHS calendar.

We still have Bathroom Kitty, whose name is still to be determined. Angie likes Olga, Kyle likes Bailey (she's black and gold, he wanted her to have a Mizzou name, so thus, she's named after Beetle Bailey).

What do you think - Olga or Bailey?

Unfortunately, she was pregnant when we picked her up (despite the vet who said she wasn't). She was spayed a week ago, and she's healing really well. She's kind of a bitch, but that's to be expected with a tortie. Overall though, she's a pretty cool cat, and I hope she finds a home quickly!

Angelo and Hot Wings are doing well as well. Both hopefully will be able to get back to the shelter this week, because Lord knows they're not getting adopted from here (cats are hard to adopt just based on their profiles online - they go much faster in the shelter).

And that's what's going on around this joint. The Mizzou students are back, which makes campus completely chaotic. I was so used to the calm atmosphere of summer, and it's gone until May. Oh well - at least I've got MU Tiger Football starting next Saturday!
