This is sweet Miss Penny, a 10-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and foster #14.
She was relinquished to CMHS by a puppy mill operator last week. The reasoning was because she is unable to properly bear weight on her hind legs, and the crappy breeder didn't want to put up with it. She can walk and run, but her body doesn't move like it should. The diagnosis is severe luxating patellas on both hind legs, which will require surgery at some point in time.
Despite what she's been through, she is absolutely adorable! She loves the company of the other dogs, and we're already seeing her blossom into a different girl. Once she realizes that people are alright, she's going to turn into a feisty puppy! She deserves the most perfect home, so if you're interested in her, please let me know!
