Itty Bitty gets a home!

I should have posted this a long time ago, but because I've been very busy doing nothing, I haven't got around to it until now.

Miss Isabelle, formerly known as Itty Bitty, has finally found a wonderful home!

She was scheduled for her spay on April 21, but it turns out she was only around seven weeks old instead of the required eight. This means she was just THREE weeks when we got her! Ridiculous. I still hate whoever dumped her on the side of the road.

Isabelle at 3 weeks old

Anyway, she found her home with an awesome couple in Chicago. They are so, so excited to have her in their lives, which of course makes me very happy. Kyle and I met Isabelle's new mom in Springfield, IL on Friday, and came home to just our crew.

Now if you'll recall, the goal was to remain foster-free for about a month before Isabelle crossed our paths. That was 6 weeks ago, but we're shooting for that goal again. Fingers crossed no other accidental fosters find their way to us!

And now, a few pictures. Her new momma is a professional photographer, so I have a feeling I'll be seeing awesome pictures of her regularly.

This part isn't nearly as exciting, but we enjoyed our day trip to Springfield.

Denise's Diner: Best little diner in Farber. Also, the only little diner in Farber. And I'm pretty sure it's closed.

The weather sucked on the way there. Here we are crossing the Mississippi heading into IL. There were tornado warnings in MO, so at least we were heading the right direction (away).

After we dropped off Isabelle, we drove by the Capitol

And then I ate the most delicious shrimp BLT ever. Cafe Brio in Springfield gets a thumbs up from me.

This actually happened today, but I thought it was funny. It reminds me of Mr. Bill.

I'm glad she was able to get a good home. I made the mistake of showing the pics/video from facebook to the wife! We can't get a dog right now because of where we're living, but it's pretty much inevitable we'll get one once we live in a place that allows them.
