First, the good (great) news: Keko finally got adopted. An awesome lady from The Nest will be her new momma as soon as we can get her monkey butt transported to Pittsburgh (currently scheduled for this Saturday). She will have a brother, Bubsy, and be spoiled out of her mind. And I couldn't be happier about it!
She was spayed yesterday, and did really well. She was all drugged up last night from the anesthesia, but is back to normal today. I can tell she's still a bit sore, but that's to be expected. We're going to spend the next few days just hanging out, enjoying her company, and then send her packing to her new home!
Cinnamon also got adopted recently, which is fabulous. He had been at the shelter since June, and had long outgrew the adorable, small and fuzzy kitten stage. He is such a lovable cat, so I hope his new family appreciates him!
Now onto the not-so-fun news. Angelo was adopted a couple of weeks ago, and returned last week. The new owner was apparently allergic to him, so he's back at the shelter, waiting for a home. If you want an extremely affectionate cat, go adopt him!
